Application Procedures
Recipients must be qualified as IRS Section 501(c)(3) tax exempt or equivalent entities, or be a governmental agency, and be authorized to do business in the State of West Virginia with primary facilities, operations and activities in West Virginia. Recipients will be organizations with committed key constituents in the State of West Virginia whose mission and activities align with the priorities of the Puskar Foundation as set out in the following grant guidelines.
Guidelines
Generally, entities/organizations which exhibit one or more of the following characteristics will be considered for grants from the Puskar Foundation:
- Provide health, training, and educational benefits to improve the quality of life within the state of West Virginia;
- Provide care for the homeless;
- Provide prevention, treatment, counseling and care services for those struggling with addiction;
- Support efforts to improve the current lives and future outlook for the youth in West Virginia.
Application
Applications are reviewed quarterly at each board meeting. All applications must be submitted annually by September 30th for funding consideration. Anything after that deadline will have to be reviewed during the next calendar year.
